February 12th, 2012

Dear CMC colleagues:

I wanted to pass along some information that may be of interest to you and your members regarding a CME/FedDev program called Smart Prosperity Now that can provide up to $75,000 to manufacturers in southern Ontario to help them expand exports.

Over the next couple of weeks CME will be hosting information sessions across Southern Ontario – from Windsor to Ottawa for manufacturers.  It is free for manufacturers to attend and we thought some of your members might be interested in the opportunity.  The workshops are as follows:

February 2, 2012 – Windsor
February 3, 2012 – London
February 6, 2012 – Markham
February 7, 2012 – Whitby
February 10, 2012 – Niagara
February 13, 2012 – Mississauga
February 15, 2012 – Kingston
February 16, 2012 – Ottawa
February 17, 2012 – Peterborough
February 21, 2012 – Kitchener

To be eligible for SMART Prosperity Now funding, applicants must be a small – mid size manufacturer in Southern Ontario with between 15 – 1000 employees corporately and are looking to invest in product and process improvements that will develop and expand your export opportunities and global competitiveness.

All details – including how to register can be found by visiting http://bit.ly/SMARTworkshops.
